Touched by an Angelina

The Hospital scene was currently slow for today, considering Angel Falls tend to have busy hospitals. Since there was no emergencies for the moment, Angelina decide to check rounds on other floors. Just around the afternoon, she checked up on the last room on her round.

Angelina quietly opens the door to peek inside. "I don't remember him being here before." She checks the machines to see how he's doing. Ryu's machines read normally as he slept. He flutters his wings a bit as he adjusts to his bed. Angelina places a hand on his head as she tries to ensure calm.

Ryu slowly opens his eye lids as he look at the being touching him. "Who are you, if you don't mind me asking?" As Ryu stir awake and raise up looking into Angelina's eyes, a bit groggy.

Angelina looks up surprised. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up. My name is Angelina."

Ryu rubs his eyes as he fixes his sight on the figure before him. "I'm Ryu, pleasure to meet you Angelina." As he slightly bows and extends his claw like hand and offer her a hand shake. "I take it you don't see many of my kind I take it" Asked Ryu.

Angelina takes the offered hand and shakes it. "You're right. To be honest I've never seen any of your kind before." She looks him over to see if any major injuries can be seen.

Ryu abit confused as why you examine me. "Are you looking for something? If it's injuries I was healed over night...let's just say I didn't have my legs last night." As Ryu attempts to clench his foot feeling if full use is in each foot.

"You...had no legs last night? How are you feeling now?" Asked Angelina.

"I'm feeling better now. Some minor tingling in my left foot, but I assume that's normal." Ryu smiles to the angel before him. "And yes, I had my legs cut off by a demon. The demon has been dealt."

Angelina looked a little nervous when the demon was mentioned, but soon calmed down when Ryu told her the demon is gone. "I am glad you survived your battle. I think sometime soon we should try to root out the rest of the demons, I don't want anyone else to suffer."

Ryu nods to Angelina. "Well, I had help. I couldn't take the being down by myself. It was a long tiring fight that had took a lot out of me. I had to resort to changing into my dragon form."

"How long have you been in the city? I notice you've been pretty quiet since there haven't been too many dragon sightings" Asked Angelina.


"Only a week. And most of that time I have been in my human form. Otherwise, I'd have people running from my real form" Ryu chuckles abit. "But I am a good being. I choose a very discipline style of living from my training and years living in Japan."

Angelina smiles. "That is good to hear. Can I ask who helped you out?"

"Fantastic Lin, Detective Angie, and Tatiana. Without their assistance I would be dead. Even with my draconic bloodline." Stated Ryu.

"Lin and Angie I know, both of them are very brave and a benefit to the city, although I'm not familiar with Tatiana myself." Angelina pulled a chair up to sit down next to Ryu.

"How true you are" Stated Ryu. "Tatiana prefers to keep to herself. The demon tried to lure me using her. Sick twisted games that one tried playing." As Ryu lays back down in his bed and lets out a deep breath. "So how long have you been in this city? I'm not used to seeing an angel."

"I've been here for a few months myself. There actually are three angels in this city so you'll have to get used to seeing angels around here." Angelina smiled and winked.

"Really? Do they all work in Hospitals like you or are they more and about?" Ryu smiles back as Angelina winks at her. Feeling more at ease now. "Is it me or does the mood here seem more tranquil?"

"The other two are more of the avenging angel type, you'll see them around the city. As for the mood in here that is my doing. I generate an aura that calms down everyone within 20 feet of me." Angelina explained.

"Hmm, that explains that then. Has there ever been a situation where your aura has ever been needed to be used to stop something within the Hospital itself?" As Ryu smiles slowly and wags his tail looking at Angelina with relaxed eyes.

"There were some people that were protesting Mindy Marvel being treated, even though she wasn't here. That's the worst situation I can think of." Stated Angelina.

"Who's Mindy Marvel, I'm not too familiar with some of the residents who live here. so forgive my knowledge. Why were they protesting against her though?" Ryu asked with some concern.

"She's running for mayor currently. She was running under her secret identity but was attacked by the villain Dark Star forcing her secret to be revealed. You can imagine that some people are not happy with the prospect of a super hero running the city."

"I see" Ryu trying to get thoughts together "Why would that be an issue. As long as they mean well for what they run for, most people should honor that, right? Since now that her identity is reveal it will cause more of a problem."

"If you want to know what the problem is there's a morning show you should listen to. The host's name is Ben Trek and you'll see that not everyone thinks that the hero's should be here" Explained Angelina.

"I'll have to give it a look, thank you Angelina." Ryu then closes his eyes as he seems out of touch for a mere moment.

Angelina looks a little concerned. "Are you okay?" Ryu opens his eyes as he goes towards the window. He spots the ambulance driving towards the hospital. "Seems like there was an accident. Victim is being rushed here, you might need to help them, their life is barely hanging as it is" Stated Ryu.

Angelina stands up and heads for the door. "Thank you for letting me know. If you want me to come back later let one of the nurses on this floor know and they'll get a hold of me." Angelina walks out closing the door behind her.

Ryu lays back down as he adjusts in his bed again. He notices the aura has left him, but soon slips back to sleep. "After this, I think I'll go and get my weapons. Hope no one has taken them." As he says to himself just as he falls asleep.
